OR Technology and Hallmarq Join Forces to Build a Global Multimodality Imaging Group
OR Technology and Hallmarq Veterinary Imaging have joined forces to form a new international group with the ambition to create a global player in multimodality imaging.
The newly formed group brings together complementary technologies, market access, and deep expertise across both veterinary and human medical multimodality imaging and is backed by a fund advised by NORD Holding.
With more than 200 employees across Europe, MEA and North America, the group brings together Hallmarq’s leading expertise and innovation in veterinary MRI and CT technologies and OR Technology’s established multimodality portfolio for companion animals and equine patients including digital X-ray, ultrasound, and CT imaging. The combination creates a unique platform spanning a wide range of imaging modalities, software solutions including AI-supported diagnostics, clinical applications, and customer segments, positioning the group as a global leader in veterinary diagnostic imaging.

From 9 to 12 February 2026, our team will be exhibiting at the World Health Expo (WHX) Dubai, formerly Arab Health, in the United Arab Emirates.

At the close of the year
The OR Technology Group looks back on a successful year in 2025. Despite a challenging market environment, we were able to further expand our international presence – among other achievements, through the acquisition of VetEquip Ltd. in Ireland.
With OR 4Vet and the Leonardo DR III compact, we set new impulses in veterinary medicine, while OR 4Human and the ORmed software were further developed with innovative features such as dynamic X-ray imaging. A particular milestone was also the first medical X-ray image taken in space.
With the OR OstseeCollege, we strengthened digital knowledge transfer in the veterinary sector and, beyond that, also demonstrated social responsibility – among other initiatives, through the deployment of mobile X-ray solutions in regions with limited access to medical care.

VetEquip is well established in the Irish veterinary equipment market and provides veterinarians with direct access to products, services and support.

1 year of OR 4Vet: Celebrate with us and join in!
OR 4Vet, the veterinary brand of Oehm und Rehbein GmbH, is celebrating its first anniversary.
Since its launch in autumn 2024, OR 4Vet has established itself as a competent partner for veterinarians and veterinary nurses. With innovative solutions in digital imaging – ranging from compact portable X-ray systems to stationary systems as well as CT and ultrasound – the brand supports veterinary professionals in delivering efficient, patient-focused diagnostics.
To mark the anniversary, OR 4Vet is launching a special birthday campaign: veterinary practices are invited to submit photos showing OR X-ray, CT or ultrasound systems in everyday clinical use.
Among all submissions, the company will raffle an exclusive OR4Vet jacket set for the entire practice team.
The campaign runs from October 1 to November 30, 2025, and is open to veterinarians and veterinary nurses.

Our Amadeo M-DR mini in action at JP Performance
Our mobile X-ray system Amadeo M-DR mini recently had a very special appearance: as part of a crash test at JP Performance, it was used to examine a dummy for possible injuries immediately after the test.
We are delighted that our system was able to impress even in this exceptional environment – mobile, flexible and delivering brilliant image quality. A great example of how versatile our solutions can be.

First X-ray in Space
On April 1, a very special image was published on platform X (https://x.com/satofishi/status/1907286344168276215): the crew of the Fram2 space mission apparently performed the first medical X-ray in space – using our software dicomPACS®DX-R.
The image was taken on the second day of the mission, when the crew – as they wrote – “took a few X-rays after breakfast.” What might sound like an April Fool’s joke is in fact a major milestone in medical history.
The image intentionally recalls the very first X-ray ever: Wilhelm Röntgen’s famous X-ray of his wife Anna Bertha’s hand from 1895. Only this new image was captured about 400 kilometers above Earth.
The Fram2 mission conducts over 20 scientific experiments, including tests with an ultra-portable X-ray system. That our software solution works reliably even under weightless conditions fills us with pride – and demonstrates once again how flexible and powerful dicomPACS®DX-R is.
