The Leonardo DR nano is one of the lightest portable X-ray solutions worldwide and was designed with disaster control, emergency medicine in field environments as well as military use in mind. The system consists of only a wireless X-ray detector and a laptop. Weighing in at only 9 kg (including backpack), the Leonardo DR nano is highly portable and ideal for use in inaccessible terrain. High-quality X-ray images can be generated quickly at remote locations for immediate diagnosis (e.g., field hospitals) or for consultation with specialists via email or cloud services.
The laptop (optionally tablet PC) complies with the newest standards and is equipped with the professional acquisition and diagnosis software, dicomPACS®DX-R. The display offers a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The Leonardo‘s straightforward user interface makes it easy for staff to generate excellent X-ray images. In addition, the integrated multimedia X-ray positioning guide assists with patient positioning. The possibility of diagnosis through the connection of an automatic, AI-assisted thorax screening (by a qualified third-party provider) is also included in the software (optional).
The portable wireless X-ray detector, based on amorphous silicon (a-Si) with a caesium iodide (CsI) scintillator, guarantees excellent image quality even at low radiation doses.

Ingenious design | Patient positioning made easier The integrated X-ray positioning guide helps you choose the perfect positioning during the examination of human and animal patients. The guide suggests parameter adjustments and presents helpful photos, videos and X-rays images. |
Always on call | Rapid diagnosis by a specialist The integrated diagnosis software provides global, rapid and inexpensive consultations (telemedical solutions via e-mail or cloud services) in compliance with safety and privacy regulations. The only requirement is an internet connection. |
Remote controlled | You can use a mobile terminal, such as your smartphone, via a special app as a remote control to plan and view images. Attached to your arm or the X-ray generator, it also serves as a control element allowing the user to gain a first impression of the images taken without having to move to the actual console workstation (tablet PC). You can find more information about the Remote Control app here. |
At the heart of each Leonardo system is the dicomPACS®DX-R acquisition and diagnostic software with the integrated X-ray positioning guide developed by OR Technology. |
